The Cream gene (Cr) is a dilution gene that displays incomplete dominance. One copy of the gene results in red hairs becoming golden. One Cr on black makes a Smokey Black, which usually looks like a regular black horse. One Cr on bay makes a buckskin, a golden body with black mane, tail, and legs. One Cr on chestnut makes palomino, golden body with white or silver mane, tail, and legs. Two copies of the Cr gene make what is known as a double dilute. CrCr on chestnut makes a cremello, with a white or slightly cream body, mane, and tail. CrCr on bay or black makes Perlino, a cream body with a light rust mane and tail. Just After Moonglow Cremello Blanket Appaloosa filly-Owned by Uwharrie Stock Horses ColorCode-eeaaCrCrddLplp Glow is a classic cremello, with the added touch of a white blanket.
